Betsy began Forman & Associates in July 1996.   She is passionate about helping agents create the need for disability insurance for their clients and has built her career on long term relationships with DI producers in Virginia and beyond.  Betsy is an active member in industry associations including NAIFA-Richmond, GAMA, and is past president of the Society of Financial Services Professionals.

When Betsy isn’t having fun helping her agents grow their Disability business you can find her on the golf course, playing pickleball or handicapping the horses at Colonial Downs!

After graduating from Radford University Ron began his insurance career at CIGNA HealthCare. In 2002, Ron joined Betsy to expand the DI services offered by Forman & Associates.  He takes pride in his business integrity and service-forward attitude to ensure our brokers are successful selling Disability. Ron is a member of IDIS and NAIFA and has served on various committees with these organizations as well as Marketing, Service, and Product Development Committees for Ameritas.

Ron and his family are active members of their community and enjoy being Steelers season ticket holders since 2017 (after a 21-year waiting list!)  He also enjoys golfing and is an avid bourbon enthusiast.

After a successful career in Major Gift fundraising at the University of Richmond, Tara had the opportunity to put her enthusiasm and outgoing personality to work for Forman & Associates.  She is adept at helping to establish and maintain trusted relationships with our brokers. She is responsible for developing new business opportunities and expanding the presence of the company on and offline.  

Tara is active and holds leadership positions in several organizations including NAIFA, SFSP, the Pearson’s Corner PTA, and the Rutland Lifestyles Committee.  She is passionate about the environment and helped start the recycling program within her community, but what she really enjoys is spending time with her and Ron’s two children Ava and Matthaus.

Leah is the newest member of the Forman & Associates team as she joined us in late 2019.   She brings with her over 17 years of extensive administrative support experience. Leah serves as your carrier liaison from the beginning with sales illustrations and new business sales support through the later stages meeting your ongoing policy support needs.  She enjoys assisting agents in any way that she can and is always excited to learn something new. Her work philosophy is work hard but have fun doing it. 

When Leah isn’t in the office, she enjoys hiking, reading a good mystery book, practicing her compound bow, and spending time with her family.
